  A power cord is a wire that transmits electric current. Usually the method of current transmission is point-to-point transmission. Power cords can be divided into AC AC power cords and DC DC power cords according to their use. Generally, AC power cords are wires that pass high-voltage AC power. Because of their high voltage, these wires require uniform standards to obtain safety certification before they can be officially produced. The DC line basically passes the direct current with a lower voltage, so the safety requirements are not as strict as the AC line, but for safety reasons, countries still require unified safety certification. So how to choose the power cord:
  1, standard question
  Different countries have different requirements on power cord standards. Chinese standard plugs are implemented in accordance with GB 2099.1-2008 and GB1002-2008 standards and accept CCC certification. The plugs are similar to flat triangles; Australian standard plugs have electrical parameters of 10A and 16A. China requires plugs, connectors, couplers and cables. Compulsory acceptance of the CCC mark certification for electrical equipment approved by the China Electrotechnical Commission. European countries have EU VED certification, the United States needs UL certification, Australia, Japan, Italy and many other countries have related product certification requirements, and the plugs that need to be configured are also different.
  2, power cord specifications and wire diameter
  The power cord is divided into two-core and three-core, and the wire diameter is also divided into thickness. The specifications and the thickness of the wire are mainly different according to the power of the electrical appliance. For details, please refer to the relevant national standard. The relationship between the conductor cross-sectional area of ​​the power cable and the carrying current is as follows:
  Wire diameter 3*1.0mm, current-carrying reference value 10A;
  Wire diameter 3*1.5mm, current-carrying reference value 16A;
  Wire diameter 3*2.5mm, current-carrying reference value 25A;
  Wire diameter 3*4.0mm, current-carrying reference value 32A;
  The wire diameter is 3*6.0mm, and the current-carrying reference value is 48A.
  3. The color of the power cord
  The color of the power cord is usually black and white, but also blue and red. Mainly depends on the color and scene of the product. If your product is white, it should be equipped with a white power cord and a black power cord, which is always unsightly.
  4. The length of the power cord
  The length of the power cord is determined according to the user's use. It is too long or too short, and it is inconvenient for the user to use it. Common line lengths are 0.5m, 1m, 1.5m, 1.8m, 2m, 2.5m, 3m, 5m, etc. The line length can be customized according to customer needs.
  5. Type of connector
  Common connector types include national standard series and IEC international standard series. IEC 60320 is recognized as an international standard used by most countries in the world. "C" represents the code standard for connectors manufactured by IEC 60320. Different types of connectors are specified for different combinations of current, voltage, and temperature. Among these connector types, C13, C15, and C19 are the most commonly used in data centers. The plug of IEC 60320 power cord uses an even number, and the matching socket uses an odd number. Generally, the inlet of the male appliance is 1 higher than the piece of the corresponding female cable connector. Therefore, the most commonly used power cord types are C14 to C13 and C20 to C19. Other common power cord types include C14 to C15 and C20 to C15.
